Overall

I really don’t know where to start… I was initially very happy to use 1300 Rubbish because of their great prices, and the man who did the initial quote was professional, friendly, and easy to deal with.

On the day, a young man arrived who was polite and ready to work, but unfortunately, there was an accident where he reversed into our roof.

Accidents happen, but the way the team handled it afterward was rather… flippant, or perhaps uninterested? We were told we had to get three quotes to have it fixed, meaning the burden was on us to chase everything up. They also downplayed the damage, insisting it wasn’t a major issue and everything would be fine—“it’s not structural, it’s just a little brush…” Though there were apologies, they felt disingenuous, and the employee seemed more concerned about his job than the fact that he reversed into our house.

Despite this, we haven’t received any contact from the office to check on how things went or to reassure us that there would be restitution. No attempts were made to assist us in at least covering the hole in the roof while we wait for insurance to fix it and make it safe.

No follow-up, no sincere apology—it just seems unprofessional. I understand that accidents happen, but the real measure of character for individuals and companies is how they respond when accidents occur, and here we’ve had no meaningful response at all.

We’ve gone through our insurance, which will be following up with the company for reimbursement.

I’ll update this review as things progress.

Just used this company this week for quite a big job emptying a house full of rubbish. Very prompt efficient service, friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble . Brad did some extra jobs which helped to speed up the process. I was very impressed with this company and would not hesitate to use them again .

The green waste was removed in a swift manner. The driver was very polite and helpful and the price was less than quoted elsewhere. Don't be afraid to negotiate on price. Great service.

I recommend using this company. They are prompt, have transparent pricing and are hard working. We had a whole house of rubbish and nothing was too much trouble. It was a huge job and the two men worked very hard to compact everything.

I organised this service under the name Christian. I contacted 1300Rubbish and spoke with Patrick who was incredibly responsive over email and was able to produce a quote for me based on photos I submitted of what I wanted removed.

The removal was then organised - I went on vacation for a week and was able to have it done within a few days of coming back, so they have wonderful availability at the time of this review.

A gentleman named Chris showed up and went over everything I wanted removed and then began. I found him to be very helpful, friendly and professional, and he completed the job quickly and efficiently. I had 3 desks and a small room of miscellaneous rubbish (boxes, old eletrical accessories, bed slats etc) removed for about $275.00.

Overall I was extremely satisfied with the service and the price and would recommend this business to anyone else needing bulk rubbish removal.
