I was having issues with my fuse panel (changed a fuse late evening and heard a popping noise and it smelt as if something was burning). I submitted a request through Homestars and received a text from Ben first thing in the morning, we exchanged some details, including a quote. Within a couple of hours Daniel was at my home. He did an extensive check of the fuse panel and fixed the issue. He explained everything to me in detail. Daniel was sooo pleasant, polite, knowledgeable and professional. I had an instant rapport with him. I would highly recommend 2B Wired Electric - I will be definitely calling them again for all my electrical needs!! Thank you again Ben & Daniel!!

TLDR: this is not a serious company, and I am extremely glad I asked about their warranty. See the iMessage screenshots. DO NOT go with this company.

Background:

I had some cut ends on my Ethernet cables in my network closet, and they seemed like a good option the downtown core as they have good reviews. I asked for a quote and they quoted 300. Note: I’m not positing the first message as that has my full address (they ask for it up front).

Because 300 seemed rather high to me, I told him as such, and wanted to look elsewhere. After looking elsewhere, 300 seemed actually reasonable (market rate). So I asked him if he would be tentatively the following week and what their warranty policy would be.

The problem:

He (I believe it is the owner who answers the phone and relies to texts) said they do and that they verify upon installation. Great! So I ask him exactly what that entails, and at that point he reveals that their “warranty” is testing it upon installation, and they aren’t responsible for anything that happens after.

That is not a warranty, and further, there is not reason to deceive the customer about having a warranty in the first place. They also say that it doesn’t break on its own. If they are so confident, then they should stand by their work, and offer the equivalent of a “manufacturer’s warranty”.

When I told him that his “warranty” is not a warranty, and that he should stand by his work, he got rather rude, condescending, and snarky under the guise of “keeping it real”.

The only thing these guys keep real is that they don’t stand by their work, and don’t know what a warranty is.

Not good, Horrible, send little kids to do job and ignores calls, save your money go to professional. my lights were pre installed , they decided to do cheaper products, then blamed it on pre existing lights. They are not professional stay away.

I had a few flush mount lighting fixtures and dimmer switches that I needed installed. When I reached out to 2B Wired Ben was very responsive and accommodating for appointment scheduling.

The fixtures themselves didn’t 100% fit the spot on the ceiling, but Ben was able to find a solution to make it work with extra parts he had in hand. The lighting looks great and I can use my kitchen again ?

My lights were flashing on and off like it was a rave. Turns out I had arcing behind my electrical panel that burned several holes in the hub and destroyed a few breakers. Ben and Rachel were quick to diagnose the problem, identify the correct replacement parts, pick up the parts from nearby, and do the full installation in one morning. I'm forever grateful for the quick and professional job they did at a reasonable price.
