Overall

Great product, not so great communication.

The good: the tent is really, really great quality. We borrowed a different one for a few trips before we got our 4x4 and there is a noticeable difference. The layout and design makes sense. The material feels sturdy and weather proof. Aesthetically pleasing, tough, and comfy. I would recommend this tent to anyone but with a disclaimer. 5/5 for quality of product.

The bad: We waited nearly 3 months for this tent and lost an entire summer of camping. We ordered the tent in mid May with a verbal time of arrival of mid June from one of the owners. We reserved camp sites, bought new camp gear, etc. Mid June comes and goes- no tent. Long story short the next two months consisted of us calling them asking for updates with new dates each time we called. We finally got our tent first week of August. I’m mainly disappointed because there was no communication coming from their end. There’s no tracking info so you have no idea when this thing will arrive. We saved for a long time to splurge on a tent and it’s hard not to have anxiety when you have no clue what’s going on with your purchase/money.
I also don’t think we would’ve purchased from them had we known the wait was going to be 12 weeks since we were eager to enjoy the summer. They also did nothing to make up for the poor service and communication. 1/5 for communication.

Summary. Get the tent— but expect to wait a very long time.

Overall

Only reason we gave 5 stars is because we can’t leave 6. Contacted Avery with questions about an Alto Elite. A customer backed out of the tent and Avery contacted us that one was in stock and was promptly shipped to us. Tent is well built and customer service is excellent. Avery contacted us after we received the tent to check on everything. Highly recommend! Contact Avery for any needs at Colorado 4x4.

Overall

Amazing quality tent and great customer service. The Nimbus was the perfect match for our FJ. So happy with our purchase. Everyone at the shop was super friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Best of all they were able to get us in last minute to install our new roof rack with light bar(all wired up) and our new Nimbus RTT as we were about to leave the area. Devin and Matt were a great team! Came with clean work, a helpful demo and some great FJ tips! Can’t wait to put this new setup to good use. Thanks for the great work guys! Will definitely recommend.

Love my Alto Elite for my husband and 2 little kids. The quality is apparent and having a quick deploy tent on the vehicle is a game-changer. 4x4 had some unfortunate delays in getting tents out this summer and they need some improvement on answering phone calls, but once you get in touch with someone, the customer service is always stellar! Avery helped me out with rain fly pole replacements today and the process was super easy! 100% recommend

Thank you 4x4 Colorado and Chris for all your help getting us the Alto Elite RTT in time for our trip. We love this tent, I am really impressed with the quality and thought that went into everything. This is our second RTT but our first 4x4 Colorado tent and I highly recommend this tent. It's not too big on the 4Runner and looks great. Thank you and I will be back soon to buy more of your products.

We purchased a RTT from 4x4 Colorado. The tent is very high quality and suites our needs perfectly. The process getting the tent was a bit bumpy but now that we have it we love it.

As far as customer service goes Ethan has been great with sharing information and tips about their products. He gave me a lot of insight into their diesel heater which will be the next purchase we make.
