A1 Pools are really excellent. They have opened and closed my pool for many year in Wilton. They have rebuilt the pool and replaced heaters, pumps and accessories with great success over time. Mario's team is super efficient and they are all very nice people. Their pricing is fair and their service gets an A+

Mario and the rest of the team at A-1 have been awesome from the design of our pool and patio through annual service. In addition, the spa that we bought from them gives my family year-round enjoyment. We maintain our pool and spa perfectly with support and supplies from the store. I highly recommend them to anyone interested in a great pool or spa.

first of all this is a family owned and operated
business that has been selling and installing
pools for nearly 3 decades in which you deal
directly with the family. Mario, the owner, was
with us every step of the way. He made himself
available whenever there was a question or
concern many times on weekends or after
hours. We purchased a new in ground pool and an Aspen Spa. Mario gave us expert advise,
provided an extremely high quality product and installation, then followed it all up with
incredible service. I could not possibly be any
happier with the entire project.

Mario and his team are professional and do an exceptional job. Extremely knowledgeable and punctual. His services are priced fairly as well. Highly recommend A-1 Pools.

A-1 pools and spas are the best. I thought, we need to buy the house with the pool, and I’m happy we did. A1 has always been helpful and professional, I’m so happy they help me take care of my pool! And would recommend A-1 pools to anyone.

Been using them for YEARS and never had problems until this year.
Owner is unresponsive, does not return phone calls (after several messages left, including going down there in person). No one could fix my water issues with the pool, never had problems until this year. Was going to purchase new liner but giving that business elsewhere (a place that actually cares and has great customer service and was able to fix my water problems). I'm especially glad not to be giving them my business after seeing the other reviews on liner installation. While A1 is convenient, it's worth my 20 min trek to a pool company that cares and returns phone calls.

Mario just completed a new patio and in-ground pool liner replacement. We could not be happier with the results. He stayed on top of the work, kept us advised on delivery and installation of the liner. We have used his company for a number of years for repairs, supplies and other services. We felt strongly enough about his reputation and honesty that we did not even get a second quote. I would have no reservation in recommending him to anyone installing or repairing a pool. We are very satisfied customers.

I am so EXTREMELY disappointed with this company all around. Their behavior since the beginning has been, and continues to be, unacceptable. This company DOES NOT COMMUNICATE. They are UNTRUSTWORTHY. They refuse to completely fix a problem we’ve had since installation by never calling us back to schedule an appointment!
When we first had them come install our in-ground pool liner, they told us they would call to let us know when they were coming to drain the pool and begin the work. THEY DID NOT CALL. They showed up when we were not home and began draining the pool into a portion of our yard (and neighbors yard!) that FLOODS. Expecting a call, I had not informed anyone ahead of time to drain the pool somewhere else, as I expected to be able to SHOW them where NOT to drain the pool when they arrived at a time we had scheduled. Because they did not communicate or schedule a day we would be home, they flooded a portion of our yard and our neighbor’s yard while we were not home, killing many plants that our neighbor was justly upset about.
They also never explained the fact that the cost to refill the pool ($750) would be a completely separate charge and billed directly to us from the pool water supplier. Since they took care of the scheduling and contacting the water supplier, we expected that the cost would have been rolled into the final price of the installation. While I understand we didn’t ASK if the cost was rolled in, they DID NOT INFORM US UPFRONT that it was going to be a separate charge, or even give us an estimate on how much that separate charge was going to be!
After installation of our pool liner, almost immediately the liner began falling out of the track in certain areas around the pool. I assume because the liner was under a 1-year warranty, they did come out at least once or twice to quickly tack up the liner in those areas at no cost. HOWEVER, they only “patched up” the areas that were falling out and did not in anyway try to solve the problem as a whole. THEY DID NOTHING to prevent the liner from falling out in all the other areas. The liner continues to fall out all around the pool, getting worse and worse. WE CALLED SEVERAL TIMES during the summer of 2018 to get the liner put back in the track, knowing it is their busy season and being extremely patient, but NEVER received a call back to schedule a time. We ended up closing the pool knowing the liner was falling in at spots and planning on getting it fixed the next pool season. We now have our pool open, and the liner has fallen out of the track in many more spots. We called on June 10th, June 24th, and June 27th, explaining the situation and was continually promised that Mario would call back to schedule a time to come out. It is now July 8th and we still have NEVER received a call back, even after explaining how we’ve been trying to get them to repair this for over a year now. Because of their lack in following up with us, our liner continues to fall out of the track, and now even their “repair work” (which was just them sticking some extra plastic pieces into the track with the liner) is falling out.
