5 stars for this crew! When we confirmed that our nearly 100-year old house had no insulation in most rooms, we hired 5C Energy to insulate every possible inch.

The process was easy for us from beginning to end, and the crew was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional! They went above and beyond to squeeze into a tight basement crawl space (that looks like it belongs in any given horror movie) to install insulation below the kitchen floor to keep things extra toasty for winter.

Additionally they were meticulous in cleaning up after their work each day, which we really appreciate. Jimmy and his team are fantastic. I'm looking forward to a much warmer house this winter! I highly recommend them.

Used 5C Energy to spray closed cell foam around the walls of the crawlspace in a cottage built in 1937. Jose came to remove all the fiberglass insulation that had been ruined over the decades by critters. The crew then came to spray. And when a minor tweak was needed, Kyle came right away and went over and beyond. The house is now much more energy efficient and comfortable, plus there's peace of mind knowing nothing can penetrate the closed cell foam. Great crew! Helpful receptionist. Strongly recommend them.

Met with RISE Energy / Mass Save for Home Assessment, needed to have a wall in my house checked out as were experiencing pipes that were freezing. Per the inspection, our assessor determined that wall with the pipes did not have any insulation and there were other walls in the house that were also lacking sufficient insulation.

At the recommendation of Mass Save, they put me in touch with 5C Energy to perform the work which hasn’t gone well to say the least. First, they missed the appointment day. They called me later apologizing for not coming and would come back the next day.

Next, the individuals came out and started to perform the work. They first confirmed the bay for which the pipes were were freezing was uninsulated and began the work to plug the hole in the basement with foam insulation so that the insulation up top would not spill down to the basement. Soon after, 5C as they were pulling the siding off, they said the house was insulated but didn’t have the scanning tool to check more accurately. They had to request one be brought out to them (not sure why they wouldn’t already have this tool?). Once that came, they scanned the house and did confirm there was insulation in many of the walls (not counting the bay with the water pipes) but was really spotty. Showing numerous spots without sufficient insulation.

Soon after the workers came to me (after speaking with their boss Matt Russell) – he told them that the job wasn’t worth performing even though I had a wall that was confirmed to not have insulation with water pipes. Exact words he said to the guys was “I’m not going to have my guys out there to insulate 16 square feet”. Wow. I asked to speak to him for which he immediately hung up on me. He pulled the guys and wouldn’t allow them to finish the job and left me high and dry. Still have a wall that is uninsulated with water pipes. I did escalate to the company representative I had dealt with and she did contact Matt and gave a different false story as to why they wouldn’t perform the work. Also, wouldn’t admit to straight up hanging up on me. Be a man and talk to me if you want to cancel the job.

Terrible company. Terrible Service. If your job turns out needs less work than their bottom line, they will feel free to CANCEL the job on you. Hang up on you and send you on your way. How they heck did they get connected with Mass Save and RISE Energy is beyond me. Stay far away from this company!

I connected with Russell for a quote for attic insulation after a mold remediation. We had contracted with RISE, however, they had long waits and we had an attic with no insulation in the middle of the winter. Russell was so helpful and managed to get RISE to assign the contact to 5C within a few weeks. He kept me in the loop about the timeline and process and was always so quick to respond when I had a question. The team at 5C did a great job installing the insulation and even did additional weather stripping for us. Very thorough and helpful!
