Overall

We recently bought a home with land that we wanted cleared. From the start, Dylan and Art were both courteous and polite and listened to our needs while providing useful advice. They were able to connect us with a fantastic logger (Neil Butcher, owner/operator of NGB Timber - highly recommended!) who did all of the tree cutting.

Dylan led the finish work which consisted of removing the logs, pulling and removing the stumps, cleaning up the debris, grading the area and filling a low portion of the land. He was great about checking in with us on the progress almost daily, and very accommodating to our requests. His skills with an excavator are impressive and his price was very fair. He was respectful, transparent, honest and a pleasure to work with. He even coordinated our job, which needed fill, with another job close by that was getting rid of fill, which worked out for everyone. We're happy with the end result and would recommend A&A and Sons Excavation.

TL;DR - great pricing, a pleasure to work with and good results!

Overall

Art and his crew did a large excavating job for a shop/garage structure we're putting on our property. Came out to our property in the boonies every day for months while balancing an already full schedule, brought materials from various sources up a very challenging driveway, and then worked on a very daunting slope and hillside to change the whole mess into a flat surface before eventually pouring a large concrete pad for us. Art is an old school, polite, and easy going contractor who only knows how to do things the right way. He's professional, knowledgeable, good to his word, and ultimately successful because he cares about quality and his clients. We've had dozens of contractors do work for us over the years including some very good ones and not so great ones but Art and his sons are the gold standard for us now. If you need excavation work done and are lucky to find he has time available then do not hesitate to hire Art's well run company for either big or small work because he is the go to guy and you will be thrilled with the completed project.

Art and Dylan did a excellent job of land clearing,, grading and put in concrete foundation for a workshop/studio on our property in Webster, NH. Dylan was a wizard with the tracked backhoe. Art's 25 years of experience in the business allowed us to have confidence in this work. We had a wet fall which limited the time that Art and crew could work on the project, but Art was very concerned about not tearing up the site unnecessarily. The project turned out great and it was a pleasure to work with both Art and his son Dylan. Art and Dylan were very good about communicating there intentions and bringing issues to us for resolution. They were with us every step of the project.

I had an addition and some hardscape done to increase the use of my garage and side yard. I called Arthur and we met to discuss the project. He gave me some valuable advice on how to shape the land for proper drainage and enhance the appearance and to be able to fit the new addition in. Winter was approaching, Arthur assured he would have the site work prepped and slab in on time for the arrival of the pre built Garage. Deadlines were met... the garage went up. Arthur even came back in the Spring to do some finishing touches including using a slab from the property to create a special bench for My Wife and as we were getting married in the Summer.....On Time and on Budget, a Great experience with this Company

Always within our budget parameters, Art and his son Dylan spent time working on our backyard project over the past two summers. We can't say enough good things about the work they did and how happy we are with the result. These folks have tremendous talent in understanding and getting the most from the land and their equipment. They always shared a collaborative and common vision with us. They took the time to make sure they fully understood our thought process. And they monitored our satisfaction at every step. Our project was significant in scope and each day we couldn't wait to get home from work to see the progress. Along the way, their ideas always improved on our expectations. We would constantly discover some small but thoughtful improvement they would add to the project, all while staying on the same page regarding the project goal and budget expectations. Top quality work and tremendous attention to detail.
