I’ve lived in NYC for over 30 yrs so when we decided to buy a coop in Westchester, we both knew we wanted to bring as much city style as possible. We heard a lot of NO from local contractors who have their own palettes, teams & permits shortcuts, so it was a relief to find NYC- & Westchester-based 2MO, who gave us the best of both worlds. Today, village life in lovely Bronxville starts every day with a chic apartment we love.
We did a near-total reno of a 1k sq ft 2-bdrm 1-bath apt, incl walk-in shower/wetrm, breakthru to turn a cramped 1920’s living room into an open, airy “life room,” a new 2-person home office upgrade from a weird guest bdrm, the best new hardwood floor in the building, an invisible full pantry & separate wardrobe carved out of an old narrow hallway.
Here are a few details:
• 1st, Mohsen Moghaddam (that the 2MOs) & his team are a true design/build architect-forward firm so they started with a true design consult process — what we knew we wanted, what we didn’t know, what we really needed. There were disagreements but the process worked through it all, with 2MO honestly listening, sometimes objecting, always offering solid options. Our timeline & budget ended up being twice the estimates but that was because of the choices we were happy with.
• Each member of the team has not just a role, but an expertise, and each had their turn at improving the project — concierge-level materials sourcing, real-time CAD changes as we brainstormed, hands-on & workplan-obsessed managers, & flawless construction/painting. The 2MO team is evolving so there are ongoing staff changes, but they covered any gaps.
• 2MO was expanding into Westchester during our project but they quickly figured out how to work with county offices on complex permits in ½ the time our neighbors told us it would take.
• The crew had a bend-over-backwards approach to our building's guidelines on work hours, site noise & cleanliness.
• We had many walkthrus to ID glitches; fast repairs with no addl charges when warranted.
• Finally, Mohsen’s kind ego-less spirit, global sense of style, total commitment & excited professionalism anchored us & his team every day.

Our experience with 2MO Studios for our full 2-bedroom home renovation in a period building was excellent.
Led by Erfan, their team displayed impeccable craftsmanship, effective communication, and remarkable flexibility, resulting in a stunning transformation. Erfan's communication skills were exemplary, guiding us through challenges effortlessly and promptly addressing our queries.
Throughout the renovation, 2MO Studios accommodated last-minute changes with ease, ensuring our satisfaction at every step. Their joinery work in the living room, entrance, and hallway was particularly impressive, showcasing meticulous attention to detail. Expert suggestions for layout, joinery, and materials, such as hardwood flooring, exceeded our expectation and greatly enhanced the project's outcome. Additionally, the 3D layout from their sister studio in New York provided valuable insight.

I hired 2MO for my house extension and had an amazing experience. They provide full design and build service which made the process much easier than my previous renovation experiences I had. They designed a beautiful kitchen and two bathrooms. Their interior design team was easy to communicate and they also suggested all finish materials for the project. Thanks 2MO team

We renovated and updated our Manhattan apartment with 2MO. From getting permissions, to design and completion of the project. Everything was handled by their team. The team is responsive to all our needs as well as our budget. They have an extensive team of workers that made sure all our needs were met. As we live overseas they troubleshooted every hurdle for us and made sure everything to the last detail as per our requirement was delivered. I would recommend them very highly .

We recently hired 2MO Studio as our design-build firm for a house addition. This project included an addition, a bathroom remodel, a living room remodel, and the construction of a roof and balcony. 2MO studio provided architectural services to file the job with the department of building and also successfully legalized our existing deck. We are very pleased with the final result and the quality of the construction that 2MO provided.
