We used 1st Step Movers & they were absolutely amazing. They were able to accommodate us with a last minute move. The process was extremely smooth and easy for us. They were professional, showed up early, and took excellent care of our things. They exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend 1st Step Movers!

I have had 3 moves now with Jason & 1st Step Movers. The first was over a year ago for the movement of oversized furniture within my home. And then more recently, he and his team helped move furniture from an office space to storage and rearrange more furniture in my home. And lastly, he helped move household furniture and items from a townhouse locally up to Erie, PA.
Through each of these moves, Jason was easy to communicate with. I priced out the first two projects with other local movers and 1st Step offered competitive pricing and they were transparent with their fees (other companies had required fees for services I didn't request such as use of blankets, boxes etc. as well as ridiculous fees for travel time from their warehouse to my location). I felt 1st Step was fair and if I had any questions or concerns ahead of the move, Jason was fantastic in addressing these. Additionally, my items all arrived to their final locations in the original condition they started in - I appreciated the team's attention and care.
They are my go to team for moves (But hopefully I'm all set for some time!) Thanks again!

The best! I had no time to pack stuff, and had to get stuff out in a pinch. Jason, Mike, Bird, and Steve were incredible. They did everything I asked, and did so quickly. It was NOT an easy job, and they knocked it out of the park. This was not my first experience with these movers, and it probably won't be my last. Their price was fair, their work impeccable, and their patience was second to none. I cannot recommend them highly enough. They're worth every single penny.

Highly recommend! Jason and his crew helped me with a local move and also helped move some large furniture when I needed to prep for a garage sale. Pricing is great and they were very careful with my belongings and the premises. My move included 2 stops, with some items going to a storage unit. They were very mindful of which items went to each location. They also were very understanding about the security of my pets during the process. If you give this newer company your business, I believe they will deliver their best efforts for you as well.

Recently scheduled a move from McMurray out of state to OH. Jason and the crew were courteous, prompt, extremely reasonably priced, and professional. Had several large, heavy, and fragile pieces that the crew of 3 moved more quickly than expected and with the utmost care. This included a 65 inch flat screen that arrived without a scratch! I've now used several different companies for several different moves, and my experience with them has been by far the best AND the most reasonably priced. Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in need of professional, affordable movers!

1st step movers are by far the best!
I booked them for my move from my storage unit to my recently purchased apartment in Washington, PA.
Their communication is excellent. The movers were very professional and got started right away. They wrapped appropriate furniture with covers and /or wrap to prevent damage.
Would definitely recommend to anyone. If you want a stress free move grab these guys. Great price, Excellent service, and will be using again in the future if I move again!

We recently had an experience with this company over the weekend. I contacted the owner/operator the previous week before with availability and logistic questions. The interaction eased my tensions immediately with a pleasant voice on the other line, I made contact with Jason Baker - he fit me in the schedule for a small window Superbowl Sunday. We both had limited time and new toddlers. I was a little nervous because I had some furniture I was unable to resell and would’ve been charged for removal from my landlord - which is normal but was amazed when he contacted a family in need from a previous job they did. He asked if it was okay to pass along my living room set and if I would mind to make an additional stop en route to our new property. I was relieved to just have it taken out and amazed to witness the gratitude exhibited by the family he gifted the items to. That set the tone for the morning! Himself along with another worker - Steve, began unloading items from their truck after coning the area for oncoming traffic - which made me think of the safety precautions they take. They carefully lifted most heavy items in the back of their truck where they staged it to all be padded, and like a game of Tetris they methodically placed my boxed items and large furniture pieces in their moving truck. During this time, my 2 year old son was walking around the empty apartment observing these guys like marching ants. These gentlemen worked with intent and carried a smile on their faces like the large flatscreens and fragile items they hauled out. They used dolly’s to strategically maneuver narrow hallways and didn’t make any new marks on the walls. (which in the past has caused more clean up when handing my property back over to my landlord.) I saved money by spending it on the right crew this time* When we finished at the location I was vacating we did exactly what Jason told his previous job, dropped off my furniture. I was in awe of what the owner had done for this family - he took the time out of his day to give back between moving. It’s a lot of wear and tear on your body but these guys worked smarter not harder during the drop and had the family sitting comfortable before noon. When we arrived at the new townhouse, the offloading I could tell was a little more fun - he even let my son join in during assisting me with getting some last minute screws in where I couldn’t reach - he did however let Liam lift some heavy items off the truck towards the end, a “lamp shape.” It made the move experience that much better , I dread moving but this family friendly business made the day worth while. They were safe, engaging, and took their time with my items. Polite with the new neighbors when they were asked to move. Prices were more than reasonable, the booking process was smooth and communicating up to the move and during was fantastic. Efficient! I trusted these guys, “They Care.” Thanks again for getting my family from point A to point B! Definitely suggest 1st Step on your next move. Big or small* they got it covered!!!!
