My experience started when I saw a great deal at Costco for flooring. I went home to do some studying and found that wasn’t what I wanted in my house for the next 20-30 years. After long research I found a few brands that I wanted to look into but Lowes and Home Depot doesn’t carry them. Only floor specialty stores sell it. Abby was closest to me so I headed over there and I’m glad I did! I met Jay Jay who was a cool laid back kid who really knew his stuff. He was able to go through the main differences between brands and let me bring home a couple samples to see it in the room and how it matched up with paint, trim, and furniture. I ended up going with Tan-Dem LVP. It was pretty easy to install and click together. I’m not a fan of the tradition piece. That part seems cheaply made, but the floor is very nice and quiet and the grain looks nice on the pattern.

I have used Abby carpet in the past and I considered them to be the Gold Standard, now they have become Sub-Standard and I would caution you when dealing with them. There has been a change in ownership which has caused this to happen.
We ordered carpet that day, about $5K of it, but were given no dates. They said they would contact us when it was ready. Odd, but understandable during these times. The carpet came a few weeks later and we started booking dates for installation. Dates were missed, excuses made over 4 times and the wife who is self-employed missed a bunch of work waiting on installers that never came. This last over a month and a half, finally after arguing constantly with Abby, the carpet was installed. But, only to find that they did not install the correct padding. I could see the wrong color pad from where we removed the forced air vents. Another excuse and back to trying to reschedule installation. I was actually told by someone from Abby, name obviously not given for a reason, that they knew they did not have the correct padding, but we were so mad that they were going to install what they had. They did not think I would check after all of this.
The wife talked to the owner and they agreed on paying of the carpet and installation on the stairs, another 2K and we would pay for the padding. About $200. We got a bill shortly before the carpet was installed on the stairs and it included the carpet for the stairs. We called her and she said she never said she would pay for the carpet, but only the padding. We refused to pay until this was remedied, but she would not budge. Even though we have emails stating the opposite. She said that was a misunderstanding. Anyhow, we contacted our friend who is an attorney and she said it was not worth the time or money.
I hate giving bad reviews, but this place is bad. Go to another location or use someone else; they are independently owned, we found this out when we tried to contact the owner. Basically, the owner, her husband sadly passed away and his wife is left to run the business. She obviously has no clue and how to run one. Buyer beware!

I needed carpet for my master suite addition and after being underwhelmed by the selection and timeline from Home Depot, I decided to check out Abbey. I initially met Mick and when he didn’t have a sample of an option I was considering, he let me take home part of his display in order to show my husband. And we’re not talking about the board, but a piece of his actual display. When I brought it back the next business day, Brian assisted me in finding something that was within my budget and my very particular taste. Brian was out at my house the next day to measure and had a price for me within hours. My carpet took less time to arrive than anticipated and install happened the very next day. After install, Brian’s follow up was appreciated as he called to make sure everything went well. All in I think it was a week and a half from my very first visit to carpet installed whereas Home Depot was quoting me three weeks minimum. Also, the carpet seems to be of a higher quality and fits my needs better than what I would have had if I had gone somewhere else. I felt as though Brian really listened to what I wanted and never pressured me into something more expensive. I definitely recommend Brian and Abbey Carpet!
